Power Steering Problem
Hey guys,I am having power steeing problems.I thought it was the pump.I replaced it,Bled the air,and still no power steering. My next step is the box.I dont wanna replace it if its good.Is there any way to tell whats going on without tearing the box out? Also how hot does the pump usually get when bleeding the air out? Thanks

You know how, when someone says something is wrong, a possible cause of the problem instantly flashes through your mind? Well, here's what I envisioned as soon as I read this. The pressure feed line hose has disintegrated inside the hose and is blocking fluid to the box. This would also explain the pump getting hot, trying to push oil past a restriction.

Could be a flap inside that only closes off flow with hot inrushing oil. If you don't find the problem easily, replace the hoses and try again.

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
