What kind of spark plugs are you running in it???
I ran accel spark plugs one time and ran a little rich and about half the plugs burnt out.
Ever since all I run is Autolite and I never had that problem again.

Have to wait for a the weekend and take it for a run and see how things go.

Vara i am running ngk 8 plugs and they seemed to be acting funny before but they were fouling bad i had changed some of them around with some good plugs but the same fouling happened again. switched all back now and it fires good

heres an update on jetting for my car finally was able to test and tune it a bit fought with it for a while and pulled the from power valve and squared the jets at 90 per side runs and idles good but still a bit lean, need bigger jets, got the off the line stumble to go away with a 50 cc accelerator in the front plus a black cam with a .45 sqirter in the back and a huge hoged out thing in the front, looks like it shouldnt work but does, still have a just off idle mini bog and will try a yellow cam in the front next for a faster squirt and jet up a bit more maybe 94s as still needs more fuel.

Way too much jetting....80's and 90"s........you should be in the 72-74 range. Got a buddy with a 750 HP motor running an 850dp and he's running 82-84...........try jetting down first and start there.

agreed too much jet but it works plus the engine needs so much accelerator off the line that its stupid. But also this motor is probably making its peak at a really low rpm no convertor to speak of
I had it on a 1/8 mile track leave it in drive and let it shift at about 3800 rpm 3 shifts 8.20 at 86 mph, shift manualy buzz to 5000 and gain .15 of a second 8.05 ,60 fts and et have improved with more fuel.
The frankenstein quadrajet i had in the car was the same as it dropped so much fuel down it to run good i couldnt get in in the carb fast enough.
