ntfday the v8 dosent weigh that much more than the 170 i,v had the v8 in it for couple of years now im just doing a rebuild and im getting aluminum head and a new aluminum in take and new headers so i should be alot lighter and i have no ac and as brakes goes im puting a 5 lug power disc brakes on that bolt right on to my spindles from abs brake.

Yeah - I know. It's a general config drawing and the easiest I found to picture.

Tools - available, if your dealer has them

While you're at it I would change the upper and lower control arms to v8 units to take advantage of the bigger and stronger ball joints and I would also consider changing the front sway bar. I would also consider a Monte Carlo bar to keep the shock towers from leaning in. I would also change the rear end to an 8.8 out of a later Mustang, Comet, Falcon for the 5 lug hubs and larger brakes.

i know should of got the v8 control arms but igot 6 frontend control arms, tie rods for couple of reason there cheaper and dont want to put a lot of money in to something that im going to change i hope in about 5 years or so i like to put a 351 cleveland in but i got to remove the shock towers so that would be a whole diffent suspension.

Yep---and the 6 cyl stuff will work just fine--I had a 64 Cyclone with a set of spindles made from 2 sets--they were cut apart and rewelded to raise the front abour 3 inches--upper ball joint cut off of one rite at the top and another cut down low near the spindle then the two welded so as to made the upper part longer
