327 or 350?
I have been trying to figure out what size engine I have.. my engine code is V0425HF and the casting number is 3892657 if anyone could help it would be much appreciated

Going off your casting number looks like you got a 327

ya I looked it up, but it says it could be a 302, 327 or 350

As stated above, 3892657 casting was used for 302, 327 and 350 engines. Your engine ID code translates as:
V = Flint
04 = April
25 = Day
HF = was used in 1965 for 300 horsepower 327 in Corvettes, in 1966 for 275 horse 327 w/Powerglide in full size cars, 1969 275 horse 350 (2 barrel carb) and lastly in 1978 170 horse 350 in Firebirds."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. April 25th was a Sunday in 1965 -unlikely (but possible depending on production need). Nearly all small blocks through 1967 were machined with 2.30 inch main journals. 1967 HP 350 blocks and all 68 and later small blocks had 2.45 inch main journals.
So - if you have a small journal, it's probably a 1966 327. If you have large journal, it's a probably a 1969 350.

Remove #1 plug, run the cylinder to TDC. Insert a wire to the top of the piston, mark it at the spark plug hole. Run the cylinder to BDC, insert the wire, mark it at the same reference point on the spark plug hole. Measure the distance between the marks.
302- 3.000" stroke
327- 3.250" stroke

I would think if you torn it down to see the crank journal size,at that point you could copy the crank numbers and I.D. it off that.Good Bye

I am having the block rebuilt, and the shop said if its a 327 its more expensive than a 350 cause the options are limited.. thats why I wanted to know..

I also was thinking about throwing Nitrous on it.. Do you think the block would be able to handle it?
