    Angry Help me Carb Problems

Help, I have a 1932 ford w/a 396 a little bord over. I have a Holly carb and it seems that the secondarys are not opening. The inside of the carb is a little black . All I know is the engine is almost bone stock, my holly carb is a 750 CFM. My car is running like crap. it is very hesitant. One person has told me it is over carbed. one has just said it is because it is a Holly. Should I just buy a Edelbrock and if so what CFM?
