I am in the process of building a T-Bucket and I think I would like to have a limited slip. Now, I've heard some guys say ya don't need one in a car that light. I am not sure on that. I don't want to spin the crap out of one tire when I do a smoky burn out!
What say you? Pros, cons. It will go in a 10 bolt S10 rear diff. Suggestions on what unit to buy.
Thanks, Fellas

Eaton. Having said that, i am wondering if you have ever driven a posi before. They can be a little treacherous in a light vehicle when going around a corner.

Eaton's Detroit TruTrac is the ultimate, IMO. No friction wear points, no additives, tough as nails and smooth as silk.Roger

I don't know why, but a non posi will light up both tires if you get it spinning fast enough. My Son Don's T bucket has a non posi and it lays down two even black stripes when he hammers it.
I've said the same thing as the guys about how a posi can drive a light car straight ahead on turns, but I haven't seen that with my 27. It has a Trackloc and hasn't had that tendency at all so far.

Don,I had that happen to me once,in a late model Aussie Holden flatdeck ute I owned..It had an LSD under it,and almost lost it going around a traffic island on a wet road..No weight on the arse end, lost traction, and just pushed me straight ahead...Scary stuff..Came close to hitting a couple of cars parked on the side of the road..Not again,thanks..Micah 6:8

Well, maybe I'll just stay with the rear end I have and see what happens.
