anyone help with shorting problem when i turn on my headlights the engine dies

Had that very problem with a company van once. Turned out being one of the bulbs was blown and was shorted inside of the bulb. Bulb was replace and all was well. Posibility!33 Pontiac 3 Window Sport Coupe

That's one idea, but I think you'll find a bad headlight switch.Ken Thomas
