A Woody project??.
For the time I have been on the forum,I don't recall anyone building a Woody Project.I am curious is that because they are pretty much rotted out or they are that hard to do???.Good Bye

Takes the skills & tools of a custom, freeform cabinet maker coupled with the skills & tools to do the mechanical/metal side. I've been toying with the idea of a custom 2dr woody wagon, but not ready to bite the bullet yet.Roger

Friend of mine had just finished his. Then had a fire he lost a chevy woody wagon 64 chevy SS rag top, buick grand national, 66 Imlala ragtop,66 vett, I don't recall what the other 2 cars were. This happened about 10 years ago He still isn't right from the loss.Charlie

I imagine they have lost a lot of popularity since the '60s-'70s, when the car and surf cultures merged for a while. That was the era of the surf movies... like Bikini Beach Party, and so on... and the car songs by Jan and Dean, and the Beach Boys.
I just painted a '30s Dodge panel for a guy. He included some nice hand-made wood pieces for the interior in "burled maple". I am encouraging him to do a woody next, to really show off his skills. :-)
