    'Nother question

OK guyz, here is another one. I don't really pay attention to specifics in builds 'until' there is something I run into----
And then I remember reading about things, but just not where or when I read it.
Anyways, I've read numberous times that folks are using toyota steering boxes. Any particular one, or just any? Thanks in Advance.

Perley,,I used a Toyota Hilux 4wd ute steering box in my 1960 F100..Its a late 80s box,(power)..The shaft comes out through the chassis rail, same as the F100 unit,,the drop arm is in the same place,it has the same taper for the rod end,and it has a splined joint..The original box on my truck was shot,so a bracket was made to install it into the chassis, and we cut the box off the shaft, threw it away..the bottom of the column was modified to accept a bearing,,and the shaft was shortened and splined to accept the stock Toyota coupling,to the steering box..The power box is about one and a half inches longer than the manual steering box.The swap works well, and I recommend it.
