    an easy way is to take a small allan wrench that has the short side a little over the valve lift and put in between the spring windings to see if there is extra room between retainer and top of seal




    Damm it---if I hadn't misspelled allan(allen) i could of beat Pat---but I did save you a trip to the hardware store
