    Sounds like it froze to me.did it have water in it ? I welded one up on a guys spare race motor this spring in about the same place. He said I told my guys to drain that motor !

    ever tell you about a guy that bust a race block about 4000 just the block i fixed it for him . i was not happy he just seamed if he could care less about the hole deal and i wanted to hang him I REALLY DID lucky for him i have no rope at the shop

    Area raised up is quite high.
