R&M sells a spray on rubberized undercoating that goes on like a vinyl top used to look like. It doesn't get all bubbly and lumpy looking. They even give you a long nozzle to get into hard to reach places.It is also paintable. I got it at my local body shop supply place. You may find it online as well.
I also have used the Eastwood stuff and it works well too.
