Blinking lights
Have a 2003 Saturn L300. At night all interior and exterior
lights have a small blink all the time. Could this be a light
switch or some computer control? Hate to give someone $80.00
per hr if i think i can fix it myself.

I think I would check the out put of the alt. Start car remove red wire from alt. check alt. with digital volt meter... I realy don't know but it is somthing to try.Charlie

Hey rdobbs,
I had the lights flickering on and off on my girlfriends car. I replaced the headlight switch and the problem disappeared. Turn out the switch was heating up and going out causing the flickering. Good luck. Don Jr.Don Jr.

Classic BCM (body control module) failure for that model. New module and reprogram should cure it. You'll find it mounted above the glove box. It will have to be programmed. If you check it will probably do it without the engine running also. You may also have these symptoms, Interior lights flickers . Temp gauge gos hot to cold. Water, battery, oil, security light flickers. Speedometer add on mile. Transmission shift selenoid clicks. All occurs with key on engine off or with engine running

Our Trailblazer does the same thing & in the post below is just about exactly what I was told by the dealer

I have a 2005 Trailblazer and the mechanic said that the air pump engaging is the cause of the flickering lights. I went to the shop and had them manual turn this air pump on and it duplicated the problem. I have since been in contact with gm and they claim this is normal. Well if this is normal then the saleman should have explained this to me and then I could of made a decision to buy this Trailblazer with flickering light. If I had a choice to buy or not with this information of flickering lights I would not have purchased this Trailblazer. Headlight are to remain lite for safety not flicker and have a semi come into your lane. or a police officer pull you over and issue you a warning for flickering your head lights. Come on you think a 26,000+ dollar trailblazer should have flickering headlamps.Donate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Voltmeter Fluctuation Condition Some customers may comment that the voltmeter is fluctuating between 12 and 14 volts on their full size pickup or utility vehicle. Starting with the 2005 model year, light duty full size pickups and utilities are equipped with a new Regulated Voltage Control (RVC) system. This system reduces the targeted output of the generator to 12.6-13.1 volts when in "Fuel Economy Mode" to improve fuel economy. The generator may exit "Fuel Economy Mode" if additional voltage is required. This will cause the voltmeter to fluctuate between 12 and 14 volts as opposed to non-regulated systems that usually maintain a more consistent reading of 14 volts. This fluctuation with the RVC system is normal system operation and NO repairs should be attempted.
Camper/Trailer Battery Charging Concerns Some customers may comment that when towing or hauling a camper/trailer, the auxiliary battery for the camper/trailer will not stay charged. In most cases, this concern is blamed on the new RVC system. While the RVC system does reduce the generator's targeted output voltage to 12.6-13.1 volts when in "Fuel Economy Mode", this feature is bypassed if the tow/haul feature is enabled. With the tow/haul feature enabled, the RVC system will stay in "Charge Mode" and the targeted generator output voltage will be 13.9-15.5 volts, depending on the battery state of charge and the estimated battery temperature.
See if it still does it in tow,mode.

main light switch or control module, but would not rule out others..rd
