By interchange, if you mean easy replacement, forget it. Why not reinforce, plate, and update the suspension and brakes on the original frame??? Lots of good parts and info available.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Take a look at 90 or newer S-10 Chevy. or GMC. I think with a little work it could be made to work. Thats what Downs uses under some of their cars. It doesn't cost to look.

If you have the original frame it is more acceptable to use it & change the suspension.
Frame swaps are more difficult to pull off. If you are trying to save money you wil not because the finished car will probably be worth less & you will have to have more skill & time to do it.
You can weld in a junk yard Must II & use modern leaf springs for the rear(Crysler products stayed w/leafs the longest) .....look at the Crysler 5th ave, Dodge diplomat.
If you do not have the original frame there are some frames that can be modified & I have done this but , i would not do it if I had the origial frame.Last edited by Don Meyer; 03-17-2004 at 06:55 PM.
