Wiring Location - possible issue?
I'm wiring a 1937 Dodge pickup and need some opinions on wiring location. I planned to run all the wiring including the remote battery + to a spot on the firewall where there was a large factory hole. Now that I have everything together I realized that this hole is only about 4" about an HEI distributor. Will the HEI coil cause me problems with my stereo power supply, the plug wires are Moroso 8mm and are shielded.
The firewall is not very large and I've already used most of it for A/C, heater hoses and other wiring like cooling fan/horn relays. Would a thin aluminum plate be enough to shield the wiring from the distributor?

My `65 pu has a HEI, right up against the firewall, about 4 inches from my radio, no issues.Toys

I think you are confusing this situation with the old Vette and their interference problems. The newer electronic ignitions don't have the static problems.
