Media blasting, sometimes life can be good
Some of you know that I recently took in a stray, attention starved
1969 Shelby fastback. Was concerned not only because of it's life in NYC as a daily driver, but because of all the test areas I found massive amounts of plastic filler. This week we bit the bullet and I had a good friend take it down to bare metal for me. Well, it got finished yesterday, last night got time to get it under some really good light and could not be more thrilled with the results. Turns out that the car is not as bad as I believed it to be. Very minor rust in the bottom corners of both doors, with two previous patches in the passenger quarter panel. One small dent on the passenger quarter, I would suspect is from parking the car on the streets of NY. Another small dent at the front mount for the drivers door handle (looks like someone might have kicked the handle, perhaps when the car was frozen shut
to knock it loose). As they say, pictures tell the tale, so feel free to view the attached.....
As they say, sometimes life is good...In this case, I'd say so.

Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.
Just in case......Happy Birthday Richard. .
