Thumbs up Well I bought a 1999 Sonmoa

The D.D'er shop Astro van I needed to replace.I have been driving the RV for the last three wks while I looked for a S10 pick-up which because they are lighter than a Astro I thought it would get better gas mileage.I was finding a boat load of 5 speed stick 2.2 four cylinders for sale, but because of occasional needing to tow my two trailers I felt I needed a V6 4.3.Not many at all 4.3's that where RWDs in my price range. And most where automatics.

So I think I found a unusual Sonmoa. It is a 4.3 5speed stick RWD with only 143,000 miles on it and it a extra cab.It needs a clutch, but that's ok because most of the used stuff it normally takes acouple of months to get them to where I want them anyways.

I'll get some pictures up next wk when I get it back to here.
    Good Bye

only 143k? I have 144k on my blazer and its starting to make me nervous. I suppose it's just time for a little TLC. Overall it has treated me well. I just paid off my GTO and I'd like to stay debt free so I'm hoping the blazer keeps on going for a while longer

Well the 4.3's are a decent motor.I have seen guys with Astro's with them go well into the mid 200,000's.Not that something like that would be my kind of D.D'er.The Astro was giving me problems,so that held up my projects. You just got to know for sure you got wheels under ya before you take something that is running apart.

Someone painted that rough surface stone guard paint about 1/4 around the bottom of the truck.(I'll get pictures posted in the next day or so)How do you get that stuff off so I could paint it the same as the rest of the truck??.Do you have to sand it down to the primer??.How about blending it in??
