Radiator Replacement
I mentioned that I had ordered a Champion radiator for my 63 Nova. It arrived on time and looked perfect. It bolted into the factory holes. There were some nifty little tabs on the side for shroud attachment as well.
I have never liked my radiator/fan setup so opted to replace the fan at this time as well. Pictures show the Before, some stainless hardware being prepped for installation, after and finally, the Flex-a-lite Twin Scirocco Radiator Fans. This was a real find as it fits the new radiator perfectly - complete with a shroud seal.
Wired everything up and fired the car off - exactly 180 degrees, the fans came on and man do they move a ton of air! My preference is always an engine driven stock fan, but clearances don't allow such here. I must say I am impressed with the Flex-a-lite unit and it's made in America.
All-in-all, I am very pleased with this radiator and the fans - the battery is now in the trunk thanks to a Taylor kit.
