I'm new at this, so please bear with me. I bought a 1966 Galaxie 500, FE390, C6 transmission, 6 months ago. I have yet to get it on the road. Can anyone tell me what the correct carburator goes on this? Have tried several sites and as of now, have not got a positive answer.

    Holley, Autolite. ??????????????

    Thanks Joe

It came with an Autolite but I'd put a 600 Holley or Edlebrock on it, your choice

Probably an Autolite 4100 – check out this link. Looks like this guy knows his stuff and the price is very reasonable – electric choke, period correct

Thanks for the quick response and e-bay site. Was hoping to go back original carb but unable to find what was on it. I think there was a couple of different ones for the auto trans.

For a cruiser, find an original Autolite 4100. Good carb on a stock 390.
