Need Some Help Identifying a Part and what it is used for

    Hi All,

I found a brand new vacuum pump diggin through my dad's basement. I can't seem to find any information on what it is used for what type of car etc... The inly thing i have is a patent number and some pictures. Can anyone help identify this part?

According to the patent abstract it is not a vacuum pump, but a vacuum operated pump, providing pressure for various uses on and around motor vehicles - here's the abstract link, simply typing in US Patent 3339830 - Patent US3339830 - VACUUM OPERATED PUMP - Google Patents

Nope - just scanned the abstract and drawings. Looks to me like something your dad bought with a purpose in mind, but never got around to using. I've never seen a pump like that one in service anywhere, but Graham is a pretty big name in vacuum systems. Maybe someone else has??
