    exaust flame throwers

i have an 89 S-10 that i have put a 350 small block v-8 in, then i cut off the roof, lowered it and have done many different things with it. mostly just messing around.
but i was kinda wondering, whats the best way to go about putting exaust flame throwers on it?
i have a general idea of how it is to work - spark plug ignites a small amount of gas that is pumped by a seprate pump....

but is there anyone who knows EXACTALLY how it works??

any help would be greatly appriciated.

I know one thing, that would be a killer addition to my '72 Charger when I'm done with her.

Go to the search option at the top of the club hot rod home page and search for exhaust flame throwers, we have had countless discussions on this in the past.

Use the search to find the flamethrower stuff.

You will find that I am the self-proclaimed master of ankle-burners (actually not "self-proclaimed"...I have the trophies to back it up)

Hey....I was sittin' here watchin' Ripley's on the tube. Saw the perfect flame thrower. They had a car set up with a row of nozzles along each rocker panel. Conneted to a propane tank and a button operated solenoid. Button for soleniod and Electronic Pilot was mounted on the floor like the old Dimmer switch. Then if you were attacked while in your car.... you just hit the button and roast the guy with a 10 ft. flame!!!
They said it wasn't legal in the U.S., Duh.....Ya Think????
If you can sue and win because ya' spilled Coffee on yerself' they'd have a hay day wit' this

There are two basic kinds of throwers, injected kinds and ones that rely on unspent fuel, the later is the safest and most common,
    You set up two things.
    1) an interupt switch to temperarily disrupt the sparg plugs from firing, you blip the throttle flip the kill switch and fuel gets sucked out through the exhaust
    2) a spark plug at or near the tip of the exhaust to ignite the flame
This kind will kill any cat you have installed and will work with FI or carb cars

    Number 2
insta spark plug and a fuel injector in the exauhst or an extra set of tubes out the back and let her rip.

Lots of kita are available, here is the awesome kit that will find its way into my ride when its done.

    http://www.autoloc.com/detail.lasso?itemid=flame2

This kit is adjustable, from 2 foot long blue flames to 20 foot long yellow barn burners. There was a whicked writeup on them in the March 2004 issues of Street Rod Builder Magazine.
