Front brakes for a 47 Ford Fordor

I want to swap the drum setup out of the front of my 47 Ford Fordor. I know that Speedway makes a good kit to convert to discs for around $300. Anyone ever use that kit?

Any other suggestions on what to use?

Clive told you in another thread: go Jaguar.
That's what we used in ours; Jag front and rear.
That will give you disc brakes all round and power steering.
It will also drop the car around three inches.
It also means that you're using bog standard parts...not a mish-mash of bits from here, there, and everywhere.
So if you break something you will know exactly where to go to replace/repair it.
It will also give you vastly improved handling over the transverse sprung Ford axle.
    So it's win/win all round.

Jerry gave you a contact for Jaguar parts...ring him.
Or do a Google for a supplier.
    They're out there.

Some mistakes are too much fun to be made only once.

F100 drums fit and are self-energizing. Never used that disc kit, drums work for me.
