Bought mine used. Was nearly new.It is the folding leg kind. The only complaint I have is the holes for the pins for the legs don't line up perfectly.I have to lift it up just alittle to slide those pins in.Good Bye

Maybe it's just me, but I kind of like the carpenters dradel, and the whale knife..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

For any of you that decide to replace the pump on one of these, try to get a double action pump. They move fluid on both the down and up stroke..............we geezers need to conserve energy wherever possible..........Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 10-03-2012 at 06:08 AM.

bought mine at tractor supply. the folding legs i like. i hate having one setting around taking up the room of a car. had it for several years so no problem except the pumps are really cheap and slow. but most are.
by the way , the pins dont line up until the extra wheels clear the floor. reason you have to lift it a little.
been my experience the only thing at hf worth carrring out the door is the cash register .....

I have a cheapie folding leg hoist, can't say it's the same model, but odds are good. I managed to tweak it some years back, snatching the engine and trans out of a crumpled dodge, but never any trouble out of the cylinder.

Mine is an old HF from 10 years ago or so. Bought it used from a closed down marine service. Cylinder is getting weak and using fluid, but it still works fine. I don't think they make the model anymore, but they did for a long time. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
