off hot rod topic but i'm stumped with this one?....
ok guys sorry this is not hot rod related but my brother in law has a '91 suburban and it wouldnt start at the gas station last week.....thought it was fuel pump....so he put a new pump in it and it started a few times but then wouldnt start again....so he put a new filter in it and it started once and nothing!...then he changed the injectors and it started a few times and after shutting off NOTHING! if you crank it it wont start but if you pour gas down the intake it will start and run fine.......... i'm stummped by this point...any help?????Somewhere out on Woordward ave. cruzin!

My guess is that the fuel pump is not turning on. Take a long wire and run it to the left rear of the Burb, then find a grey colored wire leading to the gas tank sending unit, splice into it so that you can hear it run, then try to crank it.
My guess is that the oil sending unit is not sending the signal to the relay which switches the pump on after start up.
And hey, thanks for letting me help, if it turns out that I was right!Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.
