    Front rims,,

I've got 6" rims now but I think 4.5" would look better and maybe even run better.
    Your opinions are welcomed.

Some people will be all over the subject about big and littles---

Something very basic that you need to think about is that you have a front heavy, very powerful car---most of the braking to slow/stop that car is done by the front wheels----you need to stay with the 6 inch wheels and maybe change the back spacing/offset if its not running too good

I agree with Jerry............you have alot of weight on the front end. Besides I really like the look with those gasser style wheels on it. Leave them on and just drive it.

I'm running 4.5x15 Cragar's with Firestone F560's, and probably should be 5.5" to 6" for better handling at speed, plus the only place I can get the tires is from Coker. I'd stick with the wheels you've got up front.

What's your overall diameter difference, back to front? The drop does more for the look than the width of the fronts, IMO.

Yes that is an awesome looking car, but , look guys, it never leaves the garage so he could put bicycle wheels on the front and be safe as he either polishes the inside of the exhaust each time he has run that engine or he is using a fuel nobody has seen before.

Just my sense of humor again so please don't be upset, I like the wheels you have on it now.

Just my opinion, but I'd sure never give up the improved handling and braking of a wider tire just for an alleged better look!!!

So what drop do you have now? Just thinking that you might want to consider a larger diameter rear tire?

You will never get short wheelbase cars like we have to give you a really comfortable ride. You can tune the suspensions to some degree but they will never ride like a passenger car. Bumps are just a part of owning one.

I agree,,I changed the coilovers in back with some nice adjustable "Ridetechs" and it made a little improvment,,,,no matter,,I love driving this Rod!!

Not to hijack the thread, but I was reading through the information in the December 2012 Street Rodder on the new VooDoo Hot Rods carbon fiber '32 roadster on their own space frame chassis, and they pointed out that the key to better ride and handling is increasing the suspension travel, which is limited to an inch or two on a "traditional" setup with leaf spring front & coilover rear. Not sure I'm ready for a tube chassis street rod, but they may be the next step in the evolution....

Why do you think you will break something hitting a bump? Unless you have a Chinese cast iron front axle or spindles or something, that cross spring front is tough!
