    One piece curved glass windshield????

Have any of you guys seen these in person? I was wanting to do a V Butt windshield in my 40. I saw these on ebay and like the idea of one piece, but not sure on how they actually look in the car. What are your guys's thoughts? Anyone have any pictures of 39-40 Fords with one by chance? Thanks Ryan.

I prefer them without the post in the center, done a few old pickups and a Merc that way.

I agree the post screams Vintage, but the huge fat fenders speak for them selves! IMO

I've always liked the look of the V butt windshields. That sharp line gives the car a more bad azz look IMO. I'm not real sure if the one piece curved windshield will look ok or like an after thought?

Some years back my late buddy Bubba put one of those in a '39 coupe. No pics, but I gotta say, it just never looked good to my eye. If you like the crisp line of a V-butt execution, the soft bulge look that these give probably won't appeal. It's not a uniform arch, looks more pronounced at the top and bottom. Surprisingly it didn't give any annoying distortion from the inside as might be expected, but outside...........................looked like a wart on a nose...............

i used them when clacks glass first came out with them. they set in the original position. the new ones set on the outside and look like an add on or a glass car. i prefer the vbutt. i spend the time to adjust the cut in the middle and polish it. i use a clear tub and tile seal instead of silicone.

A friend of mine built a '37 Ford coupe a few years ago and used one of those windshields. I thought it looked quite nice as the style of the car was slick and modern. I think it depends on how you design your build.

Thanks for the input guys! I was thinking the same thing as how the glass has no seperation from side to side kind of look. I'm leaving the trim on the car. With that said, the hood has a center trim that connects to the windshield center bow, and the top of the roof has the V shape body line. So, I was thinking that the curved one piece would look out of place with the hood trim and stock roof line. I just couldn't picture it for sure in my mind. Looks like V butt is the route I'll be going on this one.
