    Question Crush zone-1989 Astro

Many of you know I am going through a driver's side floor pan rust repair. It is a 1989 Astro and those where known in front crashes to have a crush area in the wheel well and therefor trapping the drivers feet.I've got a second sub-frame to build up and while I repair the floor pan,I'm thinking it is a prime time to reinforce both the sub frame and the floor pan.Looking at the sub frame, seems easy to reinforce that, but the leaves the floor pan/body to make stronger.I found out like most GM floor pans,it is made out of 19 gauge.Hard to get dumb idea.

Bottom line question is what to do to reinforce the wheel well floor pan area??.

like Charlie said.... like i told you some time back were the front wheel ends up in a hard hit when .i was certified for unitized collision repair things needed to be put back the way they were stock adding a plate or more or less spot welds. someone could end up with a frame rail threw there body and there seat they were sitting in . crumple zones or controlled zones by spot welds / bond are made to fail the right way .BUT seeing has this is not new and not stock . it is just a simple rust repair just put it back close to the way it was
