you are going to have to build your braces or brackets to bolt to. I have never done it before, but imagine you will need to get the fender in the correct position and may need help holding it in place while doing some very careful measuring.

I have done this several times in the past If I remember right all you need is to mount the core suport to the subframe. Not the hard. If you still have the old frame section you can transfer the marks from that. I would get it up on tires and wheels first to check clearances. This one is the last one I did. As I recall mounting the bumper was more trouble than the doghouse.

easy fix. set the doghouse on it and get the hood lined up. piece of 1x3 tubing across the bottom of clip. leave room for shims for adjustment . this is a 56 but will be the same.

Now that manavark has his answer, I've got a question for shine...

What is that back on the rotisserie?
...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

While I am a bit late to this parade, just thought I would add what I would do. Then you guys can tell me why it would or would not work.

The complete front sheet metal (less the hood I believe) can come off in one piece from the firewall forward.

(Here you already have yor front clip already installed.)

You could then (with help) slide the complete front sheet metal back into its original position with most bolts in (except for under the radiator support) with the front being held up into the proper position with either supports or floor jacks.

That will help you keep everything aligned while you make and install all brackets needed.

That is what I would do.
