    dodge denso alt

     



    I have an alternator of a computer control fuel injected 3.9l Dakota, can this be wire to charge and work on my slantsix race car ? it`s a denso alternator there`s no problem bolting it on, wiring I`m not sure about. thanks terry

    Sure. Alternators are either one wire or three wire, and depending on which you have the hook up is straight forward.

    will this is a 3 wire but I think these alt`s were internal regulated and a signal from the computer started the charging. I have tried 12v to the two small wires, a small light in one wire, I even switched wires. not sure if it can be done with these!

    Lots of guys running the little Denso alternators on drag and street cars.... Have you checked the alternator on one of the parts store alternator checker machines to see if it works????

    thanks , some of guys on the slantsix site say this alternator are external regulated so with out the computer a stock dodge regulator should work. I wish we had the free check machine at our local stores! I will have to check the alt it mybe bad.
