    Door poppers

I'm having a problem opening my doors. I have elect solenoids to open them. Still have to pull them open. I bought Auto-Loc DP3500 door poppers. Any suggestions on where to mount them? Someone said on front a pillar. Is that a good spot? Of course no instructions came with them. Thanks

That depends on what you are putting them on..If you have suicide doors,,yes,,the A pillar..if you are putting them on your 39,putting them on your A pillar is no use..They will need to be on your B pillar,,(unless you have done suicide doors on your 39)

The door popper is simply a spring loaded cylinder with a mounting flange. You can't get enough leverage on the hinge side pillar for them to work. As Robin says, they go on the pillar with the latch or in the door pushing against the pillar, pushing the door away from the jamb when the latch is pulled by the solenoid. You'll likely have to fabricate some brackets. Most bear claw latches impart a little "push" as they are released, which is often enough to give you a finger hold.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Thanks guys! I guess I will have to rethink this. Go over my options and make a decision. Didn't think it would be such a pain. Thanks again!!

OK, spent most of the day trying to get the door poppers mounted. Closed door and it took forever to get it back open. Was jammed really bad. Tried to adjust the poppers no such luck. Same results. Maybe the solenoids are not strong enough to open it? I'm really confused now. Thought that was the problem.

Have seen a few with strong opposing earth magnets mounted to pop the door open.
Seems to work perfectly fine and with no mechanical devise to screw up.
