How far could I have gotten with this in the tank
Had a used gas tank shipped in from California for my 65 galaxie 4 door daily driver and since it looked to have layed around for years in a barn I decided to blow it out,the padding just kept coming for over a 1/2 hour so I took out the sending unit and all this padding came out. Other then that the tank looked good so I installed it and it has a little leak so I ordered a new tank like I should have the first time,I will throw it in the shed and keep it in case I find a 2 door which will probably have a worse tank.

Amazing what they can get into ain't it?!?! Every spring before I start my 47 A IH tractor I have to remove the plug from the bell housing and dig out the "Tenants" and their nesting materials..
As near as I can figure it, there is one hole big enough for them to get into, but it's 3 feet off the floor and on the bottom of the casting!

media valve from my blasting rig. it started acting up so i figured the valve must be rusty or something. 2 of them had ended up in the bottom of the hopper all the way to the valve.

Thinking of the mess you'd of had if you'd filled it with gas....Roger

When I picked up the tank I cold not feel anything in it and that stuff would have been in everything up to the fuel filter.

You know guys, we really should be showing a little more compassion for the poor homeless rat........ After all, he was not only evicted, his home was moved across country, what if he forgot something?

A few years back we took the Comet up to the chassis dyno shop in Watertown.... The car had sat the winter in my old shop out on the farm, brought it to town and put the freshened engine back in it. Engine had been on the engine dyno for run in and a few pulls before putting it in the car, so no reason to do anything but commence with the power pulls on the chassis dyno!!!!!! Headers were big tubes with 4 into 2 into 1 collectors and a booger to pull, so we always unbolted them from the heads and left them in the car for the winter... On the first pull, a giant glob of nest material came out the collectors!!!! Rodney and I spent about 2 hours cleaning up Andy's Dyno and shop!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
