How far could I have gotten with this in the tank

Had a used gas tank shipped in from California for my 65 galaxie 4 door daily driver and since it looked to have layed around for years in a barn I decided to blow it out,the padding just kept coming for over a 1/2 hour so I took out the sending unit and all this padding came out. Other then that the tank looked good so I installed it and it has a little leak so I ordered a new tank like I should have the first time,I will throw it in the shed and keep it in case I find a 2 door which will probably have a worse tank.
