    Exotic Racing in Las Vegas

Went to Las Vegas and drove an exotic supercar at Exotics Racing.

The first was a Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2. Drove on a 7 turn 1.2 mile road course. Fastest I went was 110mph on the straight.

The second car was a Porsche 997 Turbo S. The car much quicker, lighter and very sensitive steering. Top speed of 120+mph.

I was having trouble getting a good line this time. I think the car intimidated me and the instructor was starting to annoy me! I was faster than the Lambo by 4 seconds and 10+ mph.

My wife in the drift car. I think she enjoyed it. Why doesn't she laugh when I drive like that??

That must've been a blast! You were right about the second instructor.. I had to turn the volume off!

Seems like the better half enjoyed the ride too!

Very cool! Just curious, how do they handle the liability at a deal like that? Does their price include bringing you aboard as an "...also insured..." for your track time?

The price you pay to drive the cars covers the insurance. The more expensive the car the more you pay. Plus the instructors in the car with you had the ability to have you stop if your driving in an unsafe manner.

Thanks for posting about your exotic driving experience. Looks like you had a great time and your wife obviously loved that ride in the Vette. I think I enjoyed watching and hearing her laughing almost as much as she liked the drive.

Other than this exotic driving session have you done any other road course type driving? Track days or time trials or such?

I raced stock cars on dirt track for 15 years and did a Jim Russell 2 day racing school with Formula Fords at Laguna Seca years ago.
