Best thing about joining the two pipes on a driver is that the pipes are way more solid. Especially with Chev manifolds with the cone gaskets, they will wiggle loose if they are not joined together. I put a piece of light channel across between the pipes and clamp them together if I want the true dual "rap".

Do any of you guys know if an H or X pipe will help or hinder an engine with a turbo on each bank? I have been curious about this and haven't found any one who runs much exhaust on turbo cars.Ryan

A turbo charger pretty much zeros out any exhaust tunning and any restriction at all would limit the turbos effectiveness

That's kind of what I was thinking since they pretty much pressurize the system from drive pressure. But my experience with turbos on a gas engine is 0.Ryan

Just thinking out loud, it seems to me that if the X-Pipe helps scavenge by taking advantage of the flow differences between the two pipes, it would do the same with the turbo's but to a lesser degree. The turbo's take a good deal of the kinetic energy out of the exhaust, which reduces the exhaust pressure downstream of the turbo's, right? Seems to me that anything you can do to increase the scavenge effect is going to still be applicable with the turbo's. I would think that you'd want to increase the pipe size out the back, but include the X-Pipe to help minimize back pressure, but then again I could be all wet.Roger

After the turbos just dump tubes----------shorter bigger diameter the better
