Model A Ford roll pan
I've always loved the Model A Ford bodies but I have always wondered why Henry failed to make a rear roll pan? After a lot of thought I thought I could come up with something that could look semi normal and something that looks like it belongs. I had a free afternoon several months ago so I attempted to build one. Of coarse a friend saw it and had to have it so down the road it went. Made a few more since with the same results. I still don't have one but Im starting to get the hang on how to build them... What do you think?

First, I Love the Positive/Negative symbols!
Second, Nice work on the details, that really finishes off the back of the car. I too wonder why Henry left it undone?!?!

Well I dont know about ANYTHING? But I am getting better at the roll pans.
The problem is finding the time to play. Think the next one will get welded on so it stays around for awhile!Bob, Bob, & Bob

Thanks guys. Ive been doing so long its not a biggie amymore. Infact I have to check myself when some one comes in and want a simple bend in something. I usually make myself do it old school just to remember that not everyone has the tools I do. It also makes me appreciate the tools I do have.Bob, Bob, & Bob

I received a email yesterday from a guy who has a drop hammer and offered to sell me punched out corners... Don't ask who, I'm sworn to secrecy. This could be a game changer in the roll pan gig for me. He is sending samples so I can see if they will work or not. Ive built about a dozen of them so I know exactly what I need as far as time. If I can use these corners It could be enough profit in them to build them. I'm going to have to become a vendor here it looks like.Last edited by M.T.; 03-20-2014 at 03:50 PM.
