Chevy 327 with 92 corvette EFI

I have a 327 engine and I'm looking to run EFI, I'm able to get a 92 corvette EFI system for a good price, would this work? What would I have to do to make it work? Thanks

The 1st thing is to make sure you have all the ECU(computer) stuff that goes with the 92 Vette. Next thing is to have either a frame mounted electric pump or in tank pump capable of the needed fuel pressure for the EFI. Also a return line for the EFI back to the tank.
To make this work is not rocket science but it will take some good pre-planning to make sure you have everything in place.

in 92, the corvette had either a LT-1 or an LT-4 motor. For the 92/92 years, the system was a speed density controller and batch fire injectors. Your initial concern is IF the intake manifold will bolt to your existing heads. The 92 motor had aluminum heads. The manifold bolt hole geometry may be different for the center two bolts.

You need the intake, ALL of the wiring, the ECU, ALL of the sensors, etc. There are people that can hack the ECU to bypass the key anti-theft interlock. Hacking the box will cost $400 or so. For the smaller engine, you may need smaller injectors and/or changes to the ECU code.....lots of folks do this service. The fuel system is somewhere about 43 psi as I remember so a mechanical pump isnt going to cut it. In all,, you should be able to pull this off for $2500 or maybe a bit more if you already have the engine and injection......by the way, you need a factory manual set for the corvette that has
the detailed wiring diagrams. Throw in a crimp tool too and a source of connector pins.

92 vets were LT1 engines-----about only parts that would interchange might be the cam bearings

LT1 are reverse coolant flow, front mount opti spark(no distri hole in manifold)one piece rear seal, external balance flywheel,
blocks are not interchangeable, heads not, etc--------

You could look at the 86-91 vet stuff or Camaro/firebird

wasn't typing as fast as you
