    Talking vaccum woes

Alright I did it. I bought a carb kit and tore into it. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Problem is, I can't figure out the *$#@! vaccum lines! It's a maze of cobbled up hoses and just a huge mess. All the hoses are rotten and I'm not sure if they were even in the right place when I took them off. I checked the diagram on the frame and according to it only about half of them were right. But I only have halh a diagram to work with, the other halh in missing. HELP FELLAS! Thanks in advance.

If its your firebird, give us the engine and carb. I have a GM manual for pontiacs, and it should help some, but if its not good enough, you may have to buy a chiltons.

Sorry about that... It's a 81 Firebird with a 3.8 liter 231ci.. 2 bbl. I was going to buy the Chiltons for this car, but it only had V8's in it. My engine wasn't even in it.
I went ahead and put everything back as best I could and fired it up. It ran the exact same as before. I hope I put it back together right.
I think I'm just going to swap it with a V8.
