Wet sanded with 400, and painted red. I noticed too late that I grabbed a can of rustoleum. Bad news. That stuff doesn't play well with others, and will often craze if you apply a second coat. I saw some bubbling, very minor, possibly because it was drying in the sun, so I put it in the shade. If there are any huge issues, ill have to sand it down to primer.
I tried posting a picture, but for some reason photobucket keeps shutting down my internet on my phone. Strange that..

It's all good, what else have I got to do with my time?
Re learning old lessons - repetition is the key to learning.
The finish is sub par, but is still the shiniest part on the steaming turd.
For now, it will suffice. I have repaired a fairly rare, vintage part, and even improved it; having ground off the previous, sub standard repair..

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
