Dakota Digiatl question
I'm rewiring the 41 Chevy SP and was wondering if anyone has had any experience installing one of their direct fit/ replacement set ups. I want to install the DD VHX with the clock. Was it too hard of an install or anything else I should know b4 I buy it.
Thanks in advance.

I don't mean to be snotty or mean but, What's a 41 chevy SP? And when did chevy make a replacement / direct fit setup for what ever it is?? Or is this after market??
And what's the DD VHX with clock???
I don't know if it is hard to install, 'cause I don't know what it is!!!
Or maybe I'm just getting old??

Now Mike, look at his intro thread, that will help you............I know you're a "ford guy", so we'll cut you some slack.
Ed, don't mind Mike........he's from Massachusetts..............you know how THOSE people are.
Dakota Digital has a pretty good rep, but I'm not into their kind of stuff so can't help ya there.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I ran across this thread BEFORE I saw the intro thread...
So DD must be Dakota Digital.. now I guess I'll either "google" VHX or just ignore the rest.. Hmmmm decisions.. decisions..Last edited by 34_40; 06-02-2015 at 05:09 PM.

I didn't respond because I have zero experience with the Dakota Digital line, but I had no problem understanding what was being asked given the title of the post. Must be a Massachusetts thing....Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I have experience with Dakota Digital but not their VHX line. But I can tell you that I have found them to have some of the best customer service out there. Call them.

I have not hooked up my VHX cluster yet, but reading my instructions it says you just use the cat5 cable that comes with the clock and plug that cable into the side of the vhx control box at the display area of the box. There appears to be 3 jacks to use. There is a sheet labeled operating manual for clock/auxiliary displays for vhx systems, that comes with your cluster. (Or should) I might check into getting a second clock but man is this stuff spendy.Ryan

Thanks everybody. Had a long conversation with the Dakota Digital tech guy, it sounds like an easy set up so I ordered the parts. They'll be ready by the end of July. Have to wait til then to post the results.
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
