In the mindset or saving a thousand dollars, I'm going to repair these quarter panels. I may haggle out a deal with the shop in town for some lift time to repair the inners. I have a plan to reproduce the skins which were removed from the backs of the quarters. But first, I need to get more memory for my CAD system ( I'm out of posterboard).

I went ahead and finished the repair on the spot I was working on. I sent a shot of it with the welds ground down. After more practice, I might send pics of before - grinding, showing my welds, but for now I'm not so proud of them.

Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
