Lessons in welding
A lady friend of mine has been wanting me to teach her to weld for about six months now.
Ain't she cute in my coveralls!
She is wanting to do junk art / folk art. In about thirty minutes she picked up the basics. Then I showed her how to make a rose from sheet metal. Boy, the smile on her face when it was done!.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Nice - very nice!!
Don't know why, but I thought of this quote,
"One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know." Groucho Marx"Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

My son's new girlfriend is a certified Union Pipeline Welder, and runs a fab shop for a big local contractor. I hope he hangs on to this one, my bones and joints and muscles don't like getting down, up again, or twisting into odd positions anymore. Besides that, I strike an arc so seldom anymore that I could use the experienced help from time to time.

Honestly, I don't know; I'll ask her on Thursday. She has only been "on scene" for a few weeks, and since he works nights and she works days, we haven't seen much of her, and I'm not the most inquisitive of fellers, either, but she'll be here for dinner on turkey day, so I may get a bit more acquainted.

I've gotta get some pixels of her latest project, a heavy metal band wit a brake drum for a base, and champion spark plugs as the musicians.
We are the champions
We'll keep on sparking till the end
We are the champions
Of the WELD.

If your wife has a friend that annoys you don't tell your wife to stop being friends with her. Just casually mention how pretty she is... .
