I'd leave the head alone, because a blower will cover a multitude of sins. Pay attention to the squish (0.035" to 0.045") so the motor won't detonate on pump gas and use a mild flat tappet cam like the Crane 203901 with 99277-12 lifters and 99838-12 valve springs. I'd pulley it for 6-7 psi and have fun with it.
Pay attention to this tutorial to make the flat tappet cam live a long, healthy life.....

I am aiming for 3-4% boost and the engine was originally built to mild specs and 91 gas with no blower or turbo being thought about at the time!!. I will check on cam specs and squish when the machinst reopens. thanks for the interest and advice.mark

Where'd the blower go? I do like "Stovebolts", and this one looks good, but that blower for it really gets my ticker tickin'.

Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

going too run it in on this setup ! also I have to build my own manifold to mount the blower so that gives me more time. I can mount the engine/trans and do a lot with it setup like this.mark
