carb for 383
hi Im New here. I have a 72 nova i just bought with a 383 10:1, gm fastburn heads, I think the cam is a comp cam 292, team g intake, th350 small stall, 411 gears and a 100 hp nos kit. it has a 600 edlbrock but Im thinking it needs a bigger carb any help would be appreciated.

I'd go at least Holley 800 dp and would try one of the new 950 avengers

Welcome to the forum! Post some pictures of your new ride when you have a chance!
If you run the numbers in one of the carb cfm calculators they point more towards a 750cfm (or more) for your engine, especially considering the NOX shot. Go to Summit's site and look at theirs, or just Google "Carburetor CFM Calculator" and you'll have several to choose from.Roger

Nova, 383, 100hp nitrous, 4.11 gear-------------will rev so quick that doesn't matter what converter he has-it'll be above 5000 rpm withen first 30 feet-------
