    engine problems

OK, I was on the way to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona. Car ran fine for over 300 miles. Then started bucking like I had a blower on it. I had full throttle and idle nothing in between. Would buck like crazy. I drove it 80 miles this way and it died in the middle of 295. I have never came across this before. It's suppose to be an 1985 L98 out of a Corvette with TPI. I have moved the fuel lines thinking vapor lock. Swapped out alternator thinking wasn't charging and battery died or something. Had to trailer it home. Any ideas? Idles really bad and when you put it in gear it just lopes? I had battery checked with two different dealers. Said it was fine? Thanks ahead of time!
