Ford 428 Cobra Jet Exhaust Backfire / Now 85 Pound compression - all 8 Cylinders

Due to a slipped Harmonic Balancer it backfired extremely hard. Trashed both mufflers. All valves operating, timing chain is chain is OK. Any idea what could cause the compression issue. Ran perfectly before. Stock engine.
