Sorry after reading my question I worded it badly, it will be on the inside of the door , but I was wondering if it would work as well if I stuck it to the inside of the outer skin or if the inside of the inner skin. There is a lot less stuff to go around on the outer skin.

All I can offer is my own experience(s) with Dynamat-I think if you put it on an outside panel you will see some deadening, but not the full effect-the reason I feel this way is that there is a very noticeable difference in the "tone" of the Door after I put it on (it "dulls" the metal sound to a thud)-
I would put it on the outer skin if at all possible (but on some cars the window mechanism does get in the way)-Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
