    If I remember right, I think they give you a choice in the gasket set for blocked or open EGR. They both come in the kit. It's been a long time since I've done one. I agree on the carb, a new Edelbrock would be a better investment than a 70 dollar choke kit.

    Use the block offs in the gasket kit and a well rebuilt Q-Jet will run rings around the Carter clone. If I was going to change carbs I'd opt for a spread bore Holley before I'd waste money on a Carter clone.
