Help finding fuel guage.
I'm collecting parts to build a new gauge cluster for one of the cars. I thought it would be pretty straight forward until I started looking for a 1-1/2" fuel gauge. The gauge I am hunting for is a white face (w/chrome bezel) 1-1/2" gauge. The old Sunpro and Bosch number CP8109.
During my search I found out that Sunpro got sold to Bosch who is apparently owned by another parent company. I ended up calling Bosch this morning and found out they had discontinued their 1 1/2" fuel gauges and had no plans to produce them any more even in their Equus line (which is apparently the replacement for Sunpro.
That pretty much leaves me trying to find anyone who still has a CP8109 still on the shelf. I've already check the usual places; Jegs, Summit, Rock Auto, Amazon, E bay, Speedway, and a couple of airplane and boat parts suppliers. Anybody have a lead on any other place I could check?
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
Saw this posted on FB, and thought of posting it on the Joke Page as a Model A Donk, but then thought it's not a joke, it's cool!! -
