I'm confused. Which do you mean, use a paint gun to shoot normal primer and top coat or use any lower cost rattle can brand ?Kevin

If you choose to use rattle cans, you do not need to pay for high temp coatings good for up to 2000F. You can buy Rustoleum Engine Paint for $4 a can and it will do just fine - https://www.zoro.com/rust-oleum-engi...oPhg&gclsrc=dsRoger
