    Circular blade sharpener

I just ordered a circular saw blade sharpener from eBay. It's a Chicago electric unit.

I'll let y'all know how well it works. I've got a couple of metal cutting blades that were $60 ea. They cut mild steel real easy when they're sharp. If the tool works it will pay for itself. If not, the feEbay vendor offers free returns.

Not meaning anything pro or con, just a comment that Chicago Electric is one of the "House Brands" for Harbor Freight - https://www.harborfreight.com/120-vo...ner-96687.html
With their ever present 20% off coupon theirs would be ~$44 plus tax, so like you say, if it saves one blade you're ahead of the game, assuming it's the same one you got from evilBay.

That's the one. I should have checked harbour freight first, I didn't think of it.

The design is a little "hinkey" in my view. You can certainly do the job, but even the directions state that the adjustment is "hit-or-miss".

Once I got things adjusted just so, it seems to do a reasonable job. The motor is very smooth and quiet.

One issue is: to sharpen the top of the tooth, you have to use the beveled emery wheel, which is not rated for the carbide tips. I was able to make it work with the diamond wheel by removing the cover and slightly modifying the blade support so it could swing out slightly.

I was able to get the two wheels back razor sharp.

Unfortunately, when I tested the first one cutting the steel tubing, it dulled almost instantly. The blade is a Lennox, steel cutting blade. I think they may have the speed rating too high. The blade says 5200 rpm and the saw is rated at 5000 rpm but I'm convinced the blade just isn't up to the task. So, I resharpened it and gave it to a friend for cutting wood.
